Yesterday was sunny again. All the usual vehicular suspects were out and so were these.
They are electric, good for 38km. One holds onto the handlebars atop an upright rod in front. Direction is regulated by one’s body movement (and possibly the handlebars). Heck of a way to get around. Silent and zippy.
When the rain stops and they come out from wherever it is they hide, I’ll take a photo from the front. In the meantime, check out the website here.
That looks like a shot straight out of a sci-fi movie 🙂 Love it!
You’re right! I think it’s the standing still that does it. Even in a car, there is the movement of the arms on the steering wheel. On these there appears to be nothing.
Seems like a great way to take a tour!
It would certainly speed things up so you’d see more in a given time than you would walking.
Hehehe, I agree with Claire, they do look silly, a bit like those business men riding tiny scooters. Always entertaining though.
I think these look totally silly. I’ve seen them in London and just gawped. i’d do the sam ein Amsterdam !!
Haha. They are kind of futuristic. After reading today about how to manage them I think it would be fun to give them a try.
Great pic, I love the mix of businessman and schoolkid!
This is the toy for everyone. 🙂
